[edit] mattress revolution

Emilie: This mattress is sort of prickly.

Lombardo: Yeah. It's not broken in yet.

Emilie: Maybe if we bounce up and down on it a few times, it will give a little.

Lombardo: That's a great idea, except for one problem.

Emilie: What's that?

Lombardo: I never learned how to bounce. I usually just move around when the face I am on moves.

Emilie: Hmmmmpf! Well maybe we don't know how to bounce because we've never really tried. I mean think about it. If we did some exercises and . . . I've got it! We should try to dance. You know, put on a rock n' roll record and try to wiggle around a little. I bet with a little bit of music we can learn to wag. Then we can jump on the mattress, soften it up a little.

Lombardo: I'm a little afraid of falling from here though. Why don't we move around to an ear, try and shake some booty in the curvy scooped out part?

Emilie: Lomby, you have just given me a ten-dollar idea...

[edit] in the middle of the street

Image:Stone_house.jpg

the sidewalk curled in a curious fashion leading me to dip down as I hopped from stone to stone to stone. I did not falter for the we-otch had told me it would be this way. Shimmying with rainy pleasure and indoor must, I kerplunked along waiting for pretzel sticks to engulf me, as they surely must.

[edit] The Subconscious Mind

Human brains are able to gather millions of pieces of information within a fraction of a second while alive. What our conscious mind does not grasp is the idea that our subconscious is able to use every bit of information- even the information we do not necessarily pay attention to. Our dreams are usually unbelievable when explaining them aloud while awake, but there is little to no questioning of right or wrong while these unbelievable objects and actions occur within our dreams. This is because we are familiar with all of the objects and actions. We have seen them at least once before. These are the objects and actions we see in our peripheral vision. These are objects and actions that we do not find important to store within our primary memory space but have been stored within our secondary memory space. These objects and actions that have gone unnoticed within our waking life state are simply juxtaposed into a metaphysical world within our dream state.

Even though most humans have no control over their dream world, most have realized they are in a dream at one point in their life, then quickly wake up.

[edit] Man and Fish

This is a picture of a man and a fish and some leaves from a tree seen from the top right. Actually leafy branches of a tree. The man is dreaming and sees himself like this surrounded by a fish and a leafy tree. The man can see this in his mind's eye as his body lies slumped on the couch. It is afternoon and if he could hear, the man would hear the faint rustling of the trees outside and the gradual purr as cars and the occasional bus slow down to stop at the intersection outside of his window. but the man can not hear anything. He is asleep, dreaming. And in his dream he sees not only what he sees but he sees himself seeing it. The whole thing feels so comfortable. There is no conflict or strangeness.
